We all leave a legacy. We are created with a purpose.

We choose to make a legacy which reflects that purpose.

Those choices start with our thoughts.

The Basics

  1. Deep Breathing

    This often overlooked luxury has the power to refocus our minds while also decreasing anxiety and muscle tension.

    - Sit with good posture, then fill your lungs slowly.

    - As you exhale slowly, let your body relax.

    - Repeat 3 or 4 times and as often as needed during your day.

  2. Intentional Gratitude

    Make a point to be thankful - be specific - and every so often be vocal. Studies show that taking time to write down those things for which we’re thankful blesses our minds, our health and those around us. On that note:

    - Start your day and end your day writing down one thing for which you’re grateful.

    - Make a point to write a note, sending a card or simply tell someone how they have encouraged you or why you’re thankful for them. Making their day will brighten yours as well!

  3. Treasure good things

    Our treasure is what fills our minds and that’s what guides our hearts. Choosing wisely positions us to treasure what really matters and release what weighs us down.

    - Consider the shows you watch, books you read, music and podcasts that you enjoy. Do they encourage, uplift, positively challenge or foster hope? If not, switch up your routine.

    - Start your day with words that remind you of who and Who’s you are. His Word for Our Hearts is a great place to begin!
